why not? whats the alternative? instead of building one code one time to do one thing that eventually gets compromised, make a system that generates new code for each task, every time.

Yes, you can now just build your own software for whatever niche case you need. And if you can't do that, you can pay a fiver jeet to do it for you

well the enshitification/commercialization of tech products such as operating systems, essential apps, and web based services, is absolutely inevitable. Where there is a sizeable market, corporations will always follow. This will soon be the case with FOSS and Linux. The good thing? nobody is forcing you to stick around. you can always change to traditional paper media I.e. books. you don't need to do everything on the screen, and if you do, the you deserved to be treated like a corporate, tech slave.
