Oh yeah that post was mine ,after that I noticed that the boosts didn't reset at the time it would reset. (The boosts reset at the same time each day if you gen an image at the same time each day). Today it's gone back to the old UI without the old switcher. The Boosts thing is hidden again. Using inspect element I can reshow it but that only lasts until refresh. When the boosts run out the gens seem to get stuck and you have to hit F5/refresh to see the images or dog if it dogged. I noticed today they changed what happens when you hit create to a more bland spinning wheel that says "We are Generating the image for you..." and that doesn't change like it did when the boosts are gone. The boost reset time is back too. Feels like it's a bored dev team doing random stuff. They had a fine UI, but really decided to shit things up this year.

That is just a UI bug. You can't click the "Surprise me" or "Model" button either, and hitting the enter key while focused on the text box still works. If it only prevented "Create" from working, or prevented you from pressing enter, it would make sense, but "Create" isn't even grayed out. Just more shitty bugs.

Thoughts on fast generators like Imagen 4 Fast launched a week ago (it's available on AI Studio)? I've been wondering for a while if OAI will ever complement GPT-Image-1/4o with a faster model, I guess there are some scenarios where a fast model would be a good idea, even if it's not really ideal for prompters like us.

I guess it can actually count to an extent, but textual accuracy might be an issue. Imagen 4 is also *really* fast, it takes around 8-9 seconds for a batch of four 1024x1024 pictures in this "painterly anime style".

To be honest I'm not a big fan of Imagen's anime style looks, but this is not really much different from how it looks in the regular Imagen 4, I guess it boils down to one's preferences.

Imagen 4 Ultra for comparison, 25 seconds for 4 pics at 2k output resolution, which is still quite fast in comparison to 4o spending at least a couple of minutes or little less in optimal conditions. Same simple prompt, I changed only the captions.

If you want to share, post some gens. I’ll use one for the collage, which is usually 80% SDXL and 20% NAI. (I select one image per AnonArtist for my collage to include all images so nobody is left behind*personal trauma*).

For paid API image gen, some use NovelAI, so your GPT image1 prompts may be less discussed due to lower usage. I use GPT Image 1 or DALL-E 3 for complex primary scenes and process them with ControlNet, so maybe sharing your prompts could help others too in making complex cute anime scenes.

Usually just specifying the nationality works, British in picrelated and I didn't specify any skin complexion; I think it defaults more heavily on darker skin complexion for Mediterranean people in comparison to de3, though.
