It's the cheapest anti-theft device you can get. Thieves won't be interested in your laptop because it's too much effort to get all the sticky residue from the stickers off, making them hard to sell. Even just one is enough.

this. it's cool if the stickers made their way to you somehow, e.g. from events or friends. my last laptop had pic related, given to me by my dad who attended a NASA event and actually met one of the ISS astronauts.

Used to never use them.
Eventually changed my mind, after all its MY computer, if I wanna slap stickers saying what distros or on it, or just slap a cool sticker of a think I like on it, I can, it's mine.

I used to think this, but after realizing I passed like 15 cars that looked identical to mine, and realizing I acrually get a laugh out of some non-political joke bumper stickers when stuck at traffic lights, I started (slowly) slapping some on.
