I remember making a couple bucks replacing this shit with XP and later 7. Used it once to play Halo 2 which was shit, never booted into it again

Of course I remember it. The best era humanity has ever reached. With technology but without smartphones and everything they brought with them (NWO). People were happy, and you could tell when you walked out on the street. Even a simple plumber earned over 6k a month. When Vista came out, even the ugly "incels" still had a chance with the girls if they just put in a little effort. (Women weren't brainwashed by the NWO.) Everything was going well; people didn't think about politics, just lived and were happy until the 2008 crisis and then smartphones (that's the whole problem), and well, here we are.

they made halo 2 require directx 10 just to try to get people onto vista. in reality it was a port of an xbox (directx 8.1) game and didn't use any dx10 features. it didn't take long for people to get it to run on xp

It was good. Parents bought a new laptop with it and they shipped the fucking OS with broken wifi drivers, otherwise it werked. Toshiba A200, Pentium T2130, 1GB 667MHz. I have the box it came in still.

It was a shitty port with many more problems and no one ever played it, once Halo 3 came out it was over. Its saving grace is being abandonware that's been fixed and since it's 20 years old it runs on $179 walmart chromebooks

I accidentally upgraded to Vista from XP while messing around on the computer with my Stepdad and regretted it, even if it had a really comfy aesthetic. Always reminds me of being 14 and finding Youtube for the first time.

They're the same aesthetics, really. I skipped it back then because my PC couldn't run it well and I didn't get another until 7 came out.
