i dont know if its really browns specifically but ive noticed a lot of really simple people seem to love AI because its their first time experiencing something akin to inner dialogue and critical thinking, only instead of it all happening inside their head, it's outsourced to a polite computer program that glazes them

China's economy is pretty much entirely low-cost manufacturing. The CCP has made some attempts in recent years to break out into a first world-style diversified economy but it's mostly a facade. The entirety of Chinese society is minimaxed around manufacturing. They're kind of like a middle eastern petrostate, but instead of being dependent on oil they're dependent on plastic garbage.
