I'm new to ublock origin lite and while I do out of personal goodness want to support 4chan by letting some of their ads slip through, I really don't like the frognigger ad spam lately. Even moreso when it's advertising a shitcoin. How do I specifically ONLY block ads like this? I still want to see the other ads, just not the frognigger ones.

Also if this is too complex to pull off I'm considering just mass blocking all ads completely and buying a pass. Which is kind of retarded that an ad-free 4chan isn't available to pass users but whatever I guess.

No, I WANT to see the ads. I'm not a freeloader like the rest of you BUT I ALSO don't want to see the frognigger ads either.

Specific ads come from their domain

what the... is this a rare case of a user who didn't end up hating the site?

Fuck, I knew this wasn't going to be a walk in the park.

This cesspool is all I have right now because the archives back up the 10% or so amount of threads/posts/media worth a shit. At least it's not fucking jewtube where good videos are randomly deleted so if you didn't remember to download them they're practically lost forever.

There's all sorts of cosmetic filtering options and you could probably block images that link to a particular domain. The stuff is explained on the wiki on GitHub.

Some day I think it'd be cool to build an image classifier based AdBlock, so you could filter posts and ads you don't like. It wouldn't be that bad/difficult to implement, the only problem is the shifting domain would eventually lower efficiency in the model.

i just refreshed 4chan like 30 times with ublock disabled and my userscripts disabled and i couldnt even see one ad besides the "BUY AN AD" template shit, lmao its broken
i was going to see if they're easily right clickable (the image source)
if they are and the urls dont change (the direct url, the parameters after dont matter)
then you just plop that into your uBlock custom filters

which domain does this ad connect to? i block ads at the dns level and wont take adguard down to test this but you should try blocking the domain associated with the frog ads specifically

It's not just any frog, I'd be okay with LITERAL GREEN FROGS. The problem is the nigger frog is clearly politicized to cartoonishly imitate a very ugly brown person (ie big lips, eyes popping out).

It's disgusting and I don't like it. If I wanted to be disgusted I'd just visit a rekt thread which I kinda don't want to do on a fucking technology board.

newpepe with io ending but when I try to add that to my custom filter it gives me an error.

theres all sorts of quirks to the ublock custom filter. they have their own css filtering and everything, because it's what their systems use to block shit.
this for example should work for a domain/url
||github.com/github-copilot
||github.com/notifications/indicator

but doing >>106339953 what he said may not work, because usually the ads are acting as a proxy. you don't see the domain it's redirecting to (newpepe) until after you've clicked it.

what u will need to put in here, is the direct link that the ad company is serving that image from; ie
https://i.4cdn.org/g/1755810162917456.webm
