If linux is so good, why does google give all their employees MBPs?

Most people who use linux either have paranoid schizophrenia, downloads and distrubute cp, or work on servers.
There's honestly no other reasons to use linux.
Why would you even have your OS as your second job when you can just use an OS that just werks.
Unless you have something to hide.

You can hide CP on Windows or Mac just fine. All the rich people do it.

You can't hide cp in wangblows because they take screenshots of your desktop and put it in some random wangblows server to be kept forever.
Also you would be surprised just how much image cache can be accessed from your normal folders.

Because it's still mostly unfriendly to normies
Autists need to learn that in order to have widespread adoption, you need to simplify stuff for normies and have it work with their interests and daily life.

>There's honestly no other reasons to use linux.
There are other reasons to use Linux:
>Money
Linux is cheaper than Windows. You can install it for free. While most people get Windows with new PCs, so they don't pay extra for it, if you have a PC without OS it is cheaper to just get Linux onto it.
>Compatibility
Linux runs on older, less powerful hardware perfectly fine and fast enough.
>Privacy
Windows always had privacy issues. I know companies that go lengths to block Microsoft "phoning home" from their workstations via firewalling. Even more so with Win11. With Linux you don't have that issue
Actually there is no real reason to use Windows nowadays unless you work in creative field (Adobe), but then Mac is probably the better option anyways or your only interest is Gaming.
The main reason for 99% of the people using Windows is probably because it came with the computer when they bought it.

With linux you own your computer, with windows everything that's on your computer is Microsoft's. Not to mention that Windows 11 is fucking buggier and laggy as hell, meanwhile Linux is blazing fast. Even many games run better on linux now. Windows is an os for low iq boomers. The occasional issue or bug that you may encounter is completely worth ditching windows. But if you do your homework a little bit , you won't have any issues.

I can’t tell the difference in speed because my computer is less than a year old. Linux UI has so many more bugs than windows especially on multi monitor setups. Who cares if games run better on Linux if you can’t even get the game to launch? Linux will never be for the end user

you get a choice between a macbook and a thinkpad with gLinux, and given that 95% of the work you're doing through the browser because of how Google works, it makes sense to pick the glorified web browsing toy with high battery life.

The only multi-monitor bug I'm finding on Linux (gnome) is when I move a fullscreen program to the right hand side of my leftmost monitor, it briefly appears on the left side of my right monitor, a brief flash, then positions correctly on the right side of the left monitor. It doesn't actually impact anything. It just looks like shit.
