No, technology has yet to peak and continues to improve. However, the way in which we use computer technology peaked in the late 2000's. Everything since then has been bloat on top of useless shit on top gimmicks on top of bloat to the point where all the technical gains have been nullified.

Apple Maps silently changes the route while I'm driving and there's no setting to turn this off. This is what software has become. Tech peaked because of some combination of idle hands and ADHD. It's got nothing to do with the year: peak GPS was around 2009, peak keyboard 1985.
