use keepass and sync your database with syncthing, so it won't get exposed to a cloud provider. if you have an organization, then self-host a vaultwarden instance.

proton tries too hard to sell itself with "switz privacy" and was caught already many times with with weird practices and backdoors, like logging your totp secrets in plaintext (totally "unintentionally" btw)

I've been using their services for the better part of 5 years (4 accounts, 3 free, starting paying for 1 about 3 years ago). Never had an issue. Proton Pass is cool. Don't bother with VPN but i'm sure if works.

But hey, the turdworlder's on /g/ seemingly constantly get banned by breaking TOS somehow so consider that.
