In bright daylight it would be hard to see, unless they could make pixels dynamically opaque. In the dark, the pixels would have to glow.

It's shit since the elderly, retarded, and women all exist who need a dedicated screen and broadcasted audio to get the information. Putting that information on a transparent display is just going to be lost to them because they really are that dumb and incompetent.
It's also incredibly annoying to look at information with a moving background.

Seems like a quick way for ads to be shoved into windows everywhere so you can't even look outside without being forced to see ads. We need a google glass like glasses that can recognize and filter ads in real time.

For my American friend who has not experienced high speed rail, most of what you're going to see out the window is farms, cities, and the inside of tunnels.
