I switched from win10 to macos several months ago and the OS is straight up worse, not to mention there's tons of free, excellent software on winblows that only has watered down, dogshit equivalents on macos.
Even something as simple as a solid music player (mogged by free foobar) or a fucking screenshot utility (mogged by free greenshot) are missing. Fuck MacOS and fuck (you), I can't wait until laptop manufacturers unfuck their hardware and battery life.

tbf that's made possible mainly because apple also makes their hardware and the os specifically targets their systems. There's a pretty limited amount of integeal hardware variation they have to worry about, and their integration with third party devices is kind of janky

If you had an open source neckbeard os that was ONLY targeting ONE specific build - say maybe it was only meant to run on the Thinkpad T420 - then you could get similar levels of integration
