When will chromium cancer fucking die forever and be thought of the same way people think of internet explorer today?

Google is intentionally pushing for this since their Firefox antitrust controlled opposition keeps repeatedly shooting itself in the head so much it can no longer be realistically an oppisition
cue in the blooming of a 100 flowers and flavors of browser "alternatives" all more scummy and irrelevant than the next

I am so optimistic for Ladybird. It's either going to be a true saving grace or the biggest let down in recent memory. My money is on the former. I like Kling.

Web standards are so bloated nowadays, creating a new engine is too expensive.

can't get rid of chrome until we get rid of javascript
can't get rid of javascript until we embrace HTMX

with HTMX all you need is an HTML/DOM renderer and literally any scripting language can be used to let users/devs write their own scripts

a web browser with a python scripting engine and HTMX implemented in Python would work exactly the same as chrome with javascript (on an HTMX website)

this is how we kill javascript and chrome

Why is it so hard to design a user interface that reads websites?

I dont need rounded corners, just show me a website in a way that gives me max control over the content.

Fucks sake.

There's be nothing wrong with Chrome if google would just remove their spyware and bring back MFv2.

Everytime some claims that they never follow up with an example that works in Chrome but does not in FF.

I'm really surprised websites aren't more malicious. Sure they want to show you ads but nothing is stopping a website from randomly showering the screen with dicks or trying to install crap on your computer when you open the page. (I know its possible it used to have sites try it in the dial up days)
Even dear old 4chan could do it (throw dicks everywhere) on a whim if it wanted to. Just replace the Halloween event graphics with dildos. You have no control over it and just have to deal with the wobbly sausage all over your web page.
Man, what a viewing experience in 2025.
