One of the few advantages of running Windows is its focus on ABI stability, not only for the userspace-kernel boundary but also for many types of device driver. There's absolutely no need to update your GPU driver if you don't want to.
Of the people who still run win10, I doubt many of them also regularly update their drivers.

You wont if you use a lets say RX580 and Polaris still receives Vulkan extensions in new drivers. Njudea is deliberately forcing people into jeet11.
Who knows about amd but if both cut 10 by next year, then steam will likely to follow suit

What recent or upcoming Vulkan extensions are relevant to a card like the RX580?
I'm trying to figure out who these people are who want the latest and greatest software features but want them on a 10-year-old OS.
>she doesnt know that noVidea throttles their old cards with every new update
laughing out loud (lol)
just do a benchmark with the last driver to be updated a few months before the next card model got released and compare it.

And it was found out before appearing in packages of distros retardo-kun...
The Linux distros are the creators of more reliable software supply chain and they'll keep being. Supply chain attack are the norm but they seem to affect windows more, it will be a matter of auto-audit any code/associated file.

lmao
Weak empty words.
My PC will be still using windows 10 in 2030, if I haven't migrated all the software or found something better on Linux.

ABI stability is not guaranteed between major Windows releases; Win10 drivers usually work for Win 8, but that's not a rule you can rely on. Continued support is not guaranteed by 3rd party vendors. Nvidia has stable/longterm branches for their drivers but even those end receiving patches eventually. ABI stability is actually irrelevant if your whole attitude is "lol just don't update" anyway.
