I've decided to take on OpenAI.

Every time GPT-5 gives me some garbage response or overreacts I force it to generate an image. If it takes 7 responses and it keeps doubling down on being retarded, Altman has to give up 7 images worth of compute. I generate the descriptions via qwen locally at random based on whatever GPT-5 got wrong.

I believe this is the only way to get OpenAI to give good responses as American models don't learn from their mistakes, they need to be hit where it hurts and that's in VC money going up in flames. If they won't use that compute ethically then nomfup.

I've been using Stheno forever and in the 3 months since getting a 16GB GPU the most I've done is move from Q4km to q8. It's sloptastic but I know there's more out there.

What's the recent landscape like for RP style models that run on 16GB of VRAM? Any good recs, size/quants I should be looking at? I'm used to llama & stheno slop so my standards aren't high. I tried Qwen3 when it came out but I never had the best of luck with it in sillytavern on the hybrid models, was hoping they'd do more instruct/thinking models than 30b-a3b and 4b but they're slow so I figured I'd check here for recs.

DeepSeek R1 0528 on akash.network stopped outputting the /think part for me recently, and all responses became almost strictly 4-5 small to moderate paragraphs long, while before it actually outputted 7-10 large paragraphs on average.
Checked OR and saw the same change to output length.
Happened most likely at about the same time as V3.1 was released.
What could have happened?

I will invest in Kimi instead of Deepseek. Using Kimi feels like when we were using Claude 1.3 in terms of sovl. And I also heard that they train from Opus. However I do think they need to be creative with their training method, training from other LLM output will just yield inferior version of the originals LLM output. They need to have the bravery of ripping thousands of book a single day for their training data like anthropic did.

Does anyone know a way to get Grok 4 on ST for free?

Some weeks old posts say you could get and use their api for free, but now looking on their site that's not the case. I've tried it out a few times out of curiosity it via openrouter and honestly it works great for ERP, miles ahead of deepseek, but I'm not willing to pay for it.

How do you get grok 4 to stop being so insanely long winded? Anyone have a good jb?
I tried reducing the token output but that would just cut it off mid sentence half the time or adding prompts like 'keep to one paragraph'.
I am using the same jb I use for sonnet 3.7 norbertquattro, so that is probably the issue but I don't see anything for grok.
