it's extremely simple and bare bones, so manage your expectations. i've used both ratpoison and its spiritual successor StumpWM, and i would suggest to use the latter if you care about customizing and extending your wm.

now i use EXWM, so i personally wouldn't use either. but they're still both fine wm's for what they're worth.
