Never heard of Bredd OS. But it says Bredd OS Arch, so it must just be Arch Linux with a new logo and window manager theme.

Arch is not a bad distro. Over time I have accumulated respect for it. It's just too bad that the otherwise smart creators of Arch wrongfully decided to use systemd. It is this poor init choice on their part which keeps me away from Arch. I expect some day they will come to their senses and do the clearly obvious only thing and switch to sys v init or such. In the mean time, I use an Arch container which gives me most of the benefits of Arch while I am running a non-systemd distro.

As far as the whole systemd argument goes I gotta admit I'm too much of a noob to understand why it's good or bad -- and since so many distros also use it, it's also the only thing I'm familiar with at this point

Are other alternatives even easier?

I know Artix is Arch WITHOUT systemd -- they are also anti-troon and considered the "based OS" but they don't support my board like BredOS does
