Honestly, you can use whatever you want, done numerous captioning training tests on models which are trained on 'natural language', and they just as well with 'tag' style captioning.

As long as you are consistent both when captioning and prompting, it doesn't matter quality-wise.

That said, if you plan to distribute your lora, most people will likely use natural language when prompting, so for that reason I think it's a better choice.

Well, if they are trained against v50, they will not look as good on this new version that has been trained a LOT more epochs and also a lot more resolutions, meaning it's a very different model from v50.

You need to retrain your loras on this new version to make any kind of judgement.

That said, as someone who has trained and compared the same loras across this new version, v50, v49 and v48-detail-calibrated, I think I prefer v49 or v48-DC, but the new version is better than the v50 at least.

The old v50, despite being slopped out of the box, consistently output images that felt "high res", as opposed to the new one that produces blurry jpeg artifacted images more often than not. The slop was very easily fine-tuned away with a lora, but most people are retards who don't even consider loras or training their own loras.

I am using a custom version of Chroma Flash (I merged the Delta weights of the new Chroma Flash with the latest Chroma HD, because the latest Chroma Flash is based on v48) with a lora trained on 1024p images, and it feels like:

Pros:
1 - Compositions look slightly better, or at least feel more natural
2 - Prompt alignment is slightly better
3 - Less mangled outputs (extra fingers, "mutations")

Cons:
1 - Images look blurrier than my previous combo (the one with Chroma Flash based on v48 with a v48 lora)
2 - Some random seeds approach the slop territory a bit more often, but that may be just that my Lora is undertrained or something, I gotta test it better

Qwen Nunchaku quantization is done, this is the Comfy implementation of Nunchaku support.

Offloading is not baked into a model, it's something the inference program (in this case Comfy) performs when you are generating, as in swapping unused parts of the model back and forth from GPU vram to system ram so that it can be used when you don't have enough vram.

Could just be that the new version is a lot different as a model since it has gone through LOTS of epochs of further training at many different resolutions.

Lora is piggybacking on information in a base model, if that information has changed a lot, the lora will be much less effective.

Again, I still prefer v49 and v48-detail calibrated over the new Chroma1-HD, but I think it in turn is better than the old V50 Chroma1-HD version.

I will train my loras against v49 or v48-detail calibrated, I haven't made up my mind as to which one yet.
