Will I get hacked if I hook up my PC directly to my modem? I'm trying to see if my my router is being shit or if it's the internet.

Far better idea to just connect with a different router, call your ISP, hook up something that's not connected to anything else and doesn't have important data on it, etc. Also, next time, stupid questions thread.
