The build quality on modern Thinkpad is dogshit so I'm just praying that the hinge on mine doesn't fall off like my 2015 dirt cheap laptop.
The trackpoint is neato.

I've got a thinkpad. Bought it after scrolling here. Its got debian on it. I dont use it, ever.

I have a gaming PC with windows 10. About to switch to Arch, cus you can play AoE2 on Arch and still watch youtube, and sell my computer resources with Golem. So yeah.

yes, best laptops ever. I just want the trackpoint back in some newer model. T480 will one day go out of favor

Are there any good NEW thinkpads? Otherwise, what's the point? The VW Golf mark 4 was a good car but it's more than 25 years old now, what are you going to drive in 5-10 years?
