Speaking from experience, if you configure auto copy to clipboard, it'll just clutter it up. Every delete operation in Vim will put the text to your clipboard.

Yes. Basically mandatory if you do this. It saves the 10% useful clipboard stuff you have, the other 90% becomes random letters, words, lines you delete as the day goes on.
Normies just use CTRL+C and CTRL+V. If they lose their clipboard, they don't go through their history, they don't know what a history is. They go back and re-copy it or accept it's lost.
