Is it just me or has youtube been kicking the ass of both adblockers AND youtube mp3/mp4 downloaders lately?

both still work, despite youtube trying to kill them for at least 3 years. Interpret that however you will.

I haven't noticed anything, but then again I rarely download videos. Either way, it's a constant war. Sometimes YouTube wins the battle, but it never lasts it seems.

No, and as long as shit is supposed to actually play somewhere, they can't block it.
Basically the only way is shutting down YouTube.

I haven't had any issues with adblocking, but video downloading and third party clients seem to be struggling recently.

If you can rip content from amazon, netflix and disney video streaming platforms, then you can from youtube.

Do you think that zoomers know what a Cathode-ray tube (CRT) is?

Occasionally I get errors, like if a browser hasn't been relaunched in a while (and thus the extension hasn't been updated). It's a constant battle I'm sure. I just went to donate to ublock origin devs while making this post and saw it's one dude who doesn't accept donations, just a stalwart autist and his companions fighting for us all. Blessed man.

My grayjay has been updating a lot recently (always works), and ungoogled-chromium + uBlock origin still works perfectly well despite me not updating for 1 year
Wouldn't be surprised if it messed up some people, but clearly they're failing for the most part

ytp-dl works, and if they break it the devs will fix it in less than 2 days.

You have billions of dollars worth of AI company crawlers downloading every video on YouTube, so YouTube needs to block bots more aggressively.
