Chinese students are great because they put up with work conditions we in west never would. They're the only one accomplishing anything in academia. Chinese grad students used to stay anyways in the US because of the better working conditions and resources, but China finally caught on so we're losing that lead.
I was going to working with a Chinese professor for my PhD, but with the state of the US she finally gave up and moved her lab to China.
