Transmission hasn't got a proper release in more than a year, 4.0.6 was released around May 2024 which has big issues like it fails to even build without workarounds. The recent beta releases are a mess, on beta 2 (released 5 months ago), the whole program locks up when opening the properties of a torrent and also at least on my build every time you open a new magnet it spawns another Transmission instance which is very fucking annoying.

If any project needs to get forked it's this one, It can't just be qBt at the top.

4.0.6 literally doesn't even build with their own instructions I had to dig through 3rd party repos to find the right patch. The main devs don't care about the project anymore. For almost a year now it's been 4-5 people without write privileges writing code into the void and begging Charles for a new release with complete radio silence on his part.
