they should have a protocol that allows computers to "put their heads together" so to speak. like imagine plugging your laptop into another laptop that belongs to a buddy of yours and getting twice the computing power for the same task with only a thunderbolt cable. shit would be cash.

I heard that before, the idea is that "processes" are outdated and should be replaced with something that works across a network. Imagine just saying "keep this running somewhere in our datacenter" and it just works

nah, cloud is about connecting to one big centralized server infrastructure, using your own pc as just a dumb terminal

what he's talking about is more like what Plan 9 tried to be, where everything was designed to be network transparent
