They should now that they have Windows on ARM. Work on porting DirectX to ARM and getting the big engines ported. Come up with Python.NET for making apps.

Easily the best phone I've ever owned. Could write apps in C#/Visual Studio instead of Java/Android Studio, and they would run on Windows too (UWP).

The only reason it failed was because there was no official snapchat client and teenagers were really into sending pictures of their dicks to each other at the time. If you used to unofficial 3rd party app for snapchat you'd get banned

They already failed miserably once, the jeet at the top wouldn't allow another failure and humilliation ritual again.
And being honest here, the OS was fucking garbage and bugged to death, and the lumia phones were even worse, physically good looking, but hardware wise extremely mid, which wasn't helped by the fact that they were several years behind the latest phone chips, like using the fucking garbage snapdragon 800 instead of the much better 801 when it was already on the market when the phones released.

The UI was innovative and good, the OS was fucking trash, I saw videos back in the day that unadvertedly showed one of its worst bugs, which was the fact that the notification panel failed to roll down like 60% of the times you swiped, or the fact that you'd put apps in the multitasking area and they'd take over a whole minute to open up because they got hibernated and couldn't be woken up instantly.
If the OS was to be good, you wouldn't have thrown out your phone for something else, but every year it passed, the marketshare dropped a lot, until they became an statistic error.

This, also, Google kept changing Youtube so the WP youtube app would consistently fail to work. If Microsoft did the same (something like Windows being unable to load Google), they'd be sued to bankruptcy, but Google doing the same to anyone is a-OK.

I did like my windows phone but the way they cut all support and turned the phone into a brick makes me not want to buy a windows product again

Wrong, I was using Windows Phone for years. It started with a 7.5/7.8 (don't remember) Custom ROM on my HTC HD2 in 2012 or 2013 and went on till I think 2017 or 2018.
I am currently working on a Dav-Based Synchronisation Software (CardDav/CalDav and hopefully File Sync as well) so I can start using my Lumia 950 again.
Everything that went wrong on the Desktop with Windows 8 worked really well on Smartphones, and it was smooth even on low end devices, especially compared to 2014 lagdroid.

You don't need a flagship when your OS is well optimized. Also, my Lumia had a better camera than android smartphones twice its price

Windows phone was extremely laggy with all the animations it showed, I had a lumia 930 I think with the snapdragon 800 which was the newest thing at the time, and it constantly lagged while moving through the homepage and other applications, and the battery duration that they boasted about was extremely subpar and couldn't even last a full day of use.
An xperia z3 compact would last me once 8 full hours of active screen time, this couldn't even last till the end of the day.

I developed apps for windows phone 7 8 and 10. The SDK was pajeet tier shit. The app store was pajeet tier shit. The OS was restricted to the point that iOS felt like gentoo in comparison.

This was pure trash and only the most retarded microsoft fags believe otherwise.
