Let me guess, 1mm thinner. 25% more powerful. More AI that doesn't work. A new form factor, so your protectors won't work anymore.

Applefags should just save their money for this year because next year they're going need $2500 to buy the foldable.

Thinner phones just get uncomfortable to hold at some point. If you wanna make an ergonomic improvement make the edges rounded instead of hard angles, but they refuse to do that because they wouldn't be able to brag about how they increased the body to screen ratio by 0.001%

I feel like the iPhone 17 Slim/Air/Stickdick will go the way of the mini. It underperforms in sales when it launches and Apple's like "fuck this" as soon as they can. The 18 will come in a slim variant because they can't course-correct in one year's time but it'll be out of the lineup after that.

Since they went to the "Dynamic Island" (which is retarded phrasing) I've actually been fine with the look of the front of the phone. The notch was an eyesore but they did finally get rid of it and having that little cut-through along the top of the phone did quite a bit for the visual experience of using the phone.

I refer to this as the "thinness singularity". The idea electronics just get thinner at the expense of any value to the user. It's all aesthetic and no utility.

most likely. apple are absolutely fucking desperate to stop the share price from tanking further and they are going to be making all sorts of wild claims/outright lies in the hopes that it will recover some of the hundreds of billions of dollars they've lost over the last year, and a share price that's 5%+ down for the entire year.

>>106391917
this anon knows. and it won't help them either with whatever they release. they still haven't managed to get ai working well at all and are projected to have finally caught up with everyone else by 2027 or so, all because tim cook told his staff to not spend any money and to use the resources apple has to make a chatgpt clone possible. they couldn't do it. they were offered a chance to by jony ive's ai startup for $1bln.. they passed on that offer. from tim cook all the way down the management ladder, the corporation is run by the biggest losers and most brain damaged of simpletons i've ever seen in the tech world. failing this hard at the ai race is an own goal they'll never recover from.

Yep. The Apple Mouse was Patient 0. They have an unhealthy obsession with thinness.

I'm surprised some obese lady hasn't tried cancelling them yet over this because of "subliminal messaging that you need to be thinner!!"

i won't get a new phone for at least a decade. i stopped caring about mobile phones 25 years ago. as long as it rings and i get messages, the fuck do i or anyone need to spend $1k-$2k on a rapidly depreciating asset and already out of date technology as soon as you take it out of the box.

apple won't be releasing anything new or revolutionary. they are in such a desperate position with a dying computer line and a reputation that keeps being shit on, all self inflicted injuries, they're at a point where they'll do and say anything to make sure the share price doesn't sink further. if the rumor is true about a foldable iphone then we'll be witnessing the decline of apple even further than what the vr headset did to them.

I almost forgot about the vision pro. There was such an artificial push for that product on social media when it launched.

there is no need to
but if you still find the tech and its increments cool, then 1k$ every 5 years is insignificant anyways

it was an absolute disaster that apple made sure to never mention ever again. after reports started coming out about its abysmal sales figures, many of these tech publications instantly dropped the story soon after and called it a day. it's over. not even worth wasting words over. it was that much of a failure. it made the apple lisa and newton look like revolutionary, like someone had been able to travel faster than light. apple is nothing more than an embarrassing shadow of its former self

this "cash" is stuck in european banks and can't be brought back into the united states without getting hit with massive taxes. every few years apple ireland loans money to apple usa, since apple ireland is the true world headquarters for their business affairs, that's if they want to keep avoiding US taxes. since the money is loaned from one business to another (technically apple ireland and usa are not the same business on paper), they avoid the tax rate.
>defacto first
oh. that explains why android is the most popular operating system in the world.. because people are buying iphones? oh that makes total sense, mr. street shitter. i'm glad your curry stained hands were able to correct the record.
