The only good threads left on /g/ are the generals.
/g/ has turned into /v/ with technology: A platform to spew ragebait and clutter/fog important or helpful information because a certain subset of people, possibly not doing it for free, didn't like how much free information was widely available on old /g/ about how to protect yourself against encroaching tech threats like targeted advertisements or widespread surveillance.

We used to have a very helpful thread, not even a few months ago, that was all about age verification and all of the free tools to get around it or fake your identity with providers who did not practice KYC. That thread got spammed into oblivion by street shitters accusing everyone of being Pakistani and dropping 'za embedded in every image so people were paranoid to make new threads or save anything.

4chan is overrun by bots, /pol/ subhumans and bored NEETs. The only way to fix this would be:
- making it so posting on /pol/ will auto-ban you from all boards for 3 days.
- range-banning israel and india
- introducing some sort of trustless algorithm that can verify whether you are NEET or not.
- Introducing better, more convenient captcha, preferably PoW one.

Op is first time here. After 4chan hack we now know that there was 8 FBI moderators and those spam anti-FOSS ragebaits and pro-Brave threads 24/7. They still do this. Even right now there is threads like that and nothing happens because moderators are outside of the rules.
