Why do so many people get so reflexively angry over AI? I know that there are a lot of issues but the vitriol that stems from posting a single AI image or something from an AI chat feels performative.

This guy gets it. I run an MSP. After a year or so of struggling, it's finally doing well. All types of creeps come out of the woodwork trying to sell me shit in my city now. Had a guy ask for a meeting to show me "a platform that will change customer relations and advertising forever". Said he "put it together himself", and that he's a "former software engineer". I gave in and agreed to meet over drinks. He didn't do shit. It was all just a hodge podge of free and nearly-free AI-driven utilities he liked, and a bunch of sloppy spreadsheets and graphs he generated with ChatGPT. Asked me to "invest" 15K, and in return he would train my employees (all 3 of them) in "becoming pros" with "his platform". I told him that most "AI-driven" software is fly-by-night garbage, that he didn't make shit, and that I wouldn't give him a dime. He got all flustered and said I was "missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime". Fucking retarded, overhyped nonsense, that has every fool convinced they're a genius.
