Nope, 32GB is fine for basic gguf shit. I had 0 issues with the exact same workflows before v0.3.49, with everything running buttery smooth. Any version above 3.49 eats at the memory and runs almost twice as slow. "just buy more ram bro" is just a bad argument and not an excuse for excess bloat. So this flew under the radar but the Japanese went and tested GPUs again in Stable Diffusion models using ComfyUI. They test 1.5, SDXL in a dozen couple of situations using ControlNet + HiResFix and even Qwen.

Here's one of their 4k tests in SDXL. It's actually a bit shocking how well Intel GPUs do here and actually in the conclusion, they suggest if you don't want to go non-Nvidia, you should buy Intel over AMD. Kinda surprising.

there's no one model that is best at everything
wan text to image is pretty good where you just gen 1 frame in high res. good anatomy, lackluster nsfw capabilities but capable of some with the help of loras. you get a lot of sameface and everything looks very cinematic since trained on videos. also bad at text.
chroma best out of the three at nsfw, good variance, but bad anatomy especially for multi subject images, and with HD version your images will randomly come out blurred and slopped 50% of the time. kind of decent at text. also the only one that can do shitty 240p style vhs smartphone photos which a lot of people here seem to be into.
qwen is best for text but the most slopped of the three and has practically zero seed variance. i hate this model so much.

Actually it is a VAE issue because the VAE does not recognize orientation. You are mistaking reconstruction with latent fragmentation. The problem with VAEs is they literally treat the orientation of the same person as completely different. Meaning it's not ABC but upside down, but actually ZDFW. The model is then forced to learn that ZDFW is actually ABC upside down, something the VAE should be doing.

From my point of view arch and there other technical details were never the problem, data is the problem here
if you had a model designed to exclusively transcribe chords, identify the instruments, get the phonetic properties of the vocals including duration etc and got perfect 1:1 symbolic representation of the songs, you could just train a model that made something you could import in a DAW with all of the stems
The problem is that there is no ongoing significant open research on symbolic music representation and transcription

We don't even have a model that can output good MIDIs, those are copyrighted too

Does anyone else have problems with adetailer and hands? Regardless of my detection model, it seems to have a hard time to pick up mangled hands, which makes sense. But lowering the threshold doesn't pick up the mangled hands, but random parts of the image that look nothing like hands. So it works if the hands are already some level of decent but not if the hands are bad, which seems to kind of defeat the purpose of an automated detection workflow.
