Look, you can hate the frontend all you like and I personally think the latest update to it is ugly as sin but the backend basically has cemented itself in the same place where llama.cpp is right now for open source inference for diffusion. It's not like dislodging it is impossible but yes, you have to reinvent a ton of stuff to even get to where you can start beating Comfy and that doesn't even get to speed of support for new models which is where the killer app is in this space.

Intel AI support is just basic, all these shiny new things, like nunchaku, torch compile, sage attention, radial attention are built for CUDA, outside llms and image gen there is no support at all.
Hell, even with basic stuff you might get see troubles, like benchmarks showing good denoising t/s while other steps taking the same amount of time, or black output images.

Kinda, I guess? It's very good at specific niche styles where other models don't even know what to do. Granted, another model with a LoRA of that style would still probably beat it, but as a base, I really like it. But that's mostly for 'artistic' or weird stuff. For non-photographic stuff (non-Anime), I think there's not a lot of models out there right now that hold a candle to it.

Here's some more silly stuff. Nice to see the flash model retains the style knowledge, but I prefer base Chroma, I think.

So I did a comparison of FP16 and the Kijai FP8 scaled wan2.2 model. Other than knowing that each are referring to the number of bits used for floats, and therefore their precision, I don't really know what the effect is on the resulting generation. Some minor things in the FP16 do look better imo, but I don't really have any other takeaways from the comparison other than the FP16 run took almost 3 times as long.

The chunk of video not being altered would be part of the context when it performs the inpainting. Similar to how in image inpainting if you, say, inpaint a hand while ensuring that the other hand is part of the image converted to latent space, it is much more likely to get the nail polish to be consistent in both hands.

If you can do this, then couldn't you, say, inpaint a second at a time to grow the video? Always passing in five seconds of video and inpainting the last second, cutting off a second from the front? And then updating the prompt accordingly to gradually steer the video where you want it to go so it doesn't drift randomly. Seems like it'd be painstaking but I don't know why it wouldn't work.
