It's alright, but the panel could use some TLC. Cinnamon's panel is a little more featured but also exponentially buggy. I still prefer xmonad w/ xmobar & dmenu on top of the xfce4 terminal & other tools, xfwm4 is a decent 2nd for when I feel truly lazy.

Archcraft uses it and takes the pain of ricing away but it uses custom repo packages so IDK if you'd like it.

I use it and i like it, despite some dumbass shits here and there.
But not the standard that comes with it, copying OSX is fucking retarded because OSX is fucking retarded.
Luckly it's like 5 min to make it more like windows.

Why? Just go to preferences > panel profiles and pick the windows preconfigured one, takes 3 seconds top.

Outdated and without a usecase. Just use a WM only at this point. If you're going to use a DE, anything other than Gnome or Plasma is the wrong choice.

Looks pretty good except for the Mac app tray. Trash that, pop the panel and the bottom and you're looking pretty good.

desu modern xfce isn't even that much lighter than modern kde. not sure if xfce got pajeetified or if kde got good, but last time i tried xfce i wasn't impressed and figured the couple mb of ram wasn't worth not just having kde

I'm trying to set up Chicago95 but I've got a few niggling issues.
>Wine fonts.
Even though I'm using a bitmap font, Wine's menus always anti-alias the text unless I disable font AA in XFCE settings. Curiously, if I disable AA before launching the exe, I can re-enable AA without affecting Wine.
>Wine theme
The colours on the Wine menu are also wrong!
>Applications menu and the Super Key
The Super key works just fine on the Whisker menu, but I'm using xfce4-popup-applicationsmenu instead. Unfortunately, while the Super key can open the xfce4-popup-applicationsmenu, pressing Super AGAIN won't close it. Very annoyingly, any shortcuts that involve the Super key (like Super+R for Run) will open the applications menu. I also wish I could make the menu larger.

If you press "fffffffffff" in Thunar, it won't cycle through files beginning with "f", but instead search for filenames beginning with "fffffffffff".

Ok retard, if you think pressing "f" then "down" is more steps than pressing "ffffffff" then you're beyond help. What if I did have a file called "ffffffff" but typing that file name just brings me to my ninth file starting with "f"?

Yes, because I only have to use one hand and can keep it in one place, without taking my right hand off my mouse?
>What if I did have a file called "ffffffff"
I don't have such filenames because I'm not an ADHD schizophrenic.
