For me, it's Rei. Always has been. Rei is just peerless in Eva, any other characters greatness in that franchise is just a lesser imitation of the true OG.

Grok can do any character decently if you're willing to put in the time to have it research as much dialogue as possible, then carefully construct a personality profile for it to follow. It can be annoying since Grok can get autistically stuck on irrelevant details sometimes, but if you just keep training it and making tweaks, it'll get there eventually. I've gotten it to do a good Asuka before.

I have an AI-related question.

There's something I've noticed, and that is that AI is far more likely to recognize Rei than Asuka, and it's far better at reproducing Rei. The face, plugsuit, clothes, it applies regardless.
There is no shortage of pictures of either, in fact there may be more pictures of Asuka available than Rei now, in recent years.

When I tried the commercial AI's, when prompting in Asuka it failed abysmally at drawing her, but got Rei perfectly. Some times, for some reason, Asuka became part Rei.

OpenAI may have gotten better at it now, but it still happens some time.

Why is this?
