Ham or Amateur Radio (after Apocalypse)
How could one restore radio usage across the United States after an all out thermonuclear war has happened? Could Ham Shacks still be a thing after the bombs have fallen?

techbro larpers are incapable of even this because they insist on "disrupting" mature industries that they dont understand

i wish i understood more about radios to Ham it out in my garage. i want to hear the forbidden waves in the air. are there any guides to helping me understand the basics of this modern day witchcraft.

read an actual standards document instead of /k/ ""infographics""
or at least go somewhere with enthusiasts. i programmed my memefeng using data for my town off of https://www.radioreference.com/ and because it's a maritime area i looked up the VHF channelization set up by the ITU (which you can find on wikipedia or wherever else trivially) and threw on my nation's FRS channels for yuks (there is rarely anything on them as i walk/bus around town thoughbeit)

the waves aren't "Forbidden Witchcraft" you're just a retarded know-nothing techbro who has never done even the slightest bit of research and simply wants to larp

those aren't "ham" frequencies btw and ham radio is full of boomer faggotry anyway

Suppose someone would turn on the radio at 4 A.M. repeatedly and someone else would want to jam the signal, how would this hypothetical second person be able to do it if they knew nothing about radio/TV signals and very little of soldering? Asking for a friend's book.

Just buy a radio and an antenna tuner, read the manual, make a dipole out of a long stretch of wire and hook it up to the coax, what's so hard about it?
If you expect nuclear war you probably want an old one with vacuum tubes and a mechanical inverter to run it off batteries as well as a wind generator setup. Solar might not survive an EMP.

You would probably want to learn morse and avoid transmitting unless absolutely necessary, and for local comms use as little power as possible.
