Help chromebook
I just got out of high school yet I forgot to return my chrome book.

Does anyone know any possible ways of rooting it so that I could do something like install Windows 7 or MacOS on it? It doesn't seem to want to go into developer mode or anything of that sort.

Can't you press F12 or Del or something on boot to access the UEFI menu?

No, for some reason the developer mode is blocked, likely to prevent people from accessing any sort of real BIOS or being able to boot from USB drives.

As long as it is Intel you are good to go.

That website will tell you how to install a normal operating system.

why would anyone want to get rid of the efficient beauty of chrome OS? It's not built to use other OS.

Some of these Dell Chromebooks have a write-protection screw to prevent the user from rewriting the firmware. What's the model of your Chromebook? You might have to open it up and remove the screw.
