the steve jobs myth was purely an invention created by apple's marketing team and the gullibility of the media, which apple took advantage of by buying favourable press coverage in exchange for advertising dollars and free electronics.

considering all jobs did was act as a salesman, his role was minimal in the success of apple. it's not like jobs was there soldering motherboards and programming 68000 assembly for macs. he barely knew how a computer worked, didn't know anything about electronics and had no interest in learning. all he was interested in is filling his own pockets.

also: you faggots forget that jobs and woz approached commodore to manufacture their apple 2 but commodore wouldn't agree to their terms. so if they never created apple, their machine would have ended up being sold anyway, manufactured by someone else.

I don't own any apple product, but Jobs was a genius. It was never only about technical skills, he knew how to lead a team and how to create a vision. He was not trying to follow the trends, he was thinking about more profound problems and how to solve them, he was taking risks and he failed many times while succeeding others. He realized that without good user experience, you had nothing. He had heart, he was knowledgeable about all sorts of things, he was not a technician following orders.

Leadership and principle are more valuable than "generic autist programmer #123124." Speaking as someone that fully believed the "it was all Woz!!" meme as a kid. You grow up and realize life isn't like that. We desperately need more Jobs' in the industry right now.
