We almost have good enough AI that we can automate 99% of industrial processes.
We just need robots to become more widespread and to put more focus on multimodal models with an emphasis on controlling robots and merging models with multiple levels of reaction time (fast and slow thinking).

If you gave an LLM a way to train itself, couldn't it? Give it a way to learn and to learn to learn more efficiently along with internet access and sensory inputs of some kind, and it could become alive over time. How do we know this isn't already happening somewhere?
