My team vs your team is easier and more comfortable than the painful reality, which is that:
1) These people have major control of your life and seek ever more of it, until their power over you is absolute
2) They see you with the utmost contempt, not unlike how medieval royalty would see dirty, unwashed peasantry. Barely more than an animal
3) There is nothing that you or I can do about these three points and we all know it, whether we like to admit it or not

Never even existed in the first place, it was just the default, you could still switch it was just buried in the settings somewhere. Sounds like they just copy pasted the Internet Explorer ruling from 30 years ago and called it a day without even examining the facts.

i hate firefox and i hate chrome and how they destroyed firefox from the inside.
but looking at this from a pragmatic, global conflict thing. it would be probably pretty bad for the western world if google got fucked with in any meaningful way.
what i mean by that is, google is basically all we have as far as far reaching global brainwashing/datamining power.
if you give that up and hurt your best tool. youre just shooting yourself in the foot for nothing really, for firefox? lol even if i love firefox i realize thats an extremely dumb sacrifice.
so with that said im pretty confident the law makers arent going to even attempt to cuck the best service provider the west has.

Americans are under the belief that they need to let every single monopoly exist just in case they get their own monopoly someday and they want nothing to impede it.

Literally every American believes this hairbrained bullshit. Even ones that don't have more than $1000 to their name, believing their lambo and mansion are just around the corner.

Politicians don't believe it but they also believe in big wall street line that can only go up

It means google isn't allowed to offer deals where it's services are the only ones pre installed on someone's platform (browser, OS) who they're paying to have their services installed on.
Which google wasn't doing and everyone knows damn well that this wasn't even remotely how google achieved monopoly power. They got it by installing that stuff on their own platforms.
