You can make good money and still not spending it on pointless shit like subscriptions. There are several ways to watch ad free YouTube on TV, if you care about your money then do a little bit of research and save a lot of money.
I don't mean to sound like a boomer, but I agree with the sentimentality that kids these days could afford a lot more if they didn't waste their money on pointless luxuries.

I just use SmartTube on my tv, basically just revanced but for tvs instead of mobile. That + the stremio/torrentio combo for all movies and tv shows has been a game changer.

Imagine not getting Amazon prime for free for half the year.
Make two accounts, never sign up for prime, and alternate free offers. If you're not a prime member they periodically offer a free month of prime having two accounts doubles the frequency. In theory you could get away with more. Fwiw one account is mine and one is my wife, so if you're gonna do this, use a different name on each account.
We don't watch TV with Prime though, just Jellyfin + arr.
