I just want a TV that doesn't take 4 seconds to respond to each button press on a remote control.

HDR still has to be supported by the media, and HDR as it is currently is lackluster in half the cases.

The Precision Black feature might be worth the upgrade. There are a lot of poorly mastered HDR / DV movies that have been released.

its literally inventing a problem that their software "solves"

Retard doesn't comprehend what's actually taking place. Bluray discs will cease to exist, because of streaming. Steaming services such as Netflix Disney Paramount Peacock Amazon etc., will be fully pricing DV Profile 7 content and a new television is needed to handle it effectively. This new TV will be the likes of owning an Ugoos AM6B+. ALL movies and shows will be released with DV P7 eliminating Bluray discs.

Bluray 4KUHD content with Dolby Vision Profile 7 will be replaced by streaming 4KUHD content with Dolby Vision Profile 7 instead of Profile 5 and Profile 8. A new TV is needed for viewing this very high quality type of content. Naturally, it will be a service tier with a higher price.
