Isn't the battery more damaged by discharging below a certain threshold than by charging over a certain threshold ?

does it always go past 80 %?
it should go to 100 % every once in a while (every few weeks) for calibration. if it does, keep it plugged at 100 % until the shield icon appears on the battery.

what if it's defining 100% charged as 80% capacity? I would be annoyed if it only went up to 80% and got stuck there

What snake oil? It literally just stops charging when at 80%. My phone has it and it works just fine. Typical dumb wojtard.
>Have this set to 80% on my iPhone.
>Has never gone past 80%.
>Charge my phone overnight before I have a long day of flying.
>100%
It has never done this again...

You'll need to wait a bit after hitting 100% for it to reset and start limiting to 80% again. I... I thought the same. I thought, nigga it's broken! But it says it's gonna charge to 100% every once in a while. And that's true.

They want you to do more charge cycles so you'll end up buying a new phone as most normies can't be bothered getting a new battery.

samsung has it work like that, at least on an older tablet I have, when battery protect is on it warns you to reboot and that from then on 100% displayed is actually 80% real
