EU hyperegulates everything, it is a bureaucratic dystopia. Even with funding, it is near impossible to make something big here. A lot of EU tech initiatives are just an API call to whatever american tech service wrapped in 200 lines of python. Enough to fool EU karens and pocket a modest amoubt of gibs, fairly doable if you have contacts in the EU politburo or academia.

i thought the biden administration's plan was to try to evade the recession just long enough that europe has time to properly enter its economic downturn, at which point the US would swoop in and get all sorts of young professionals, businesses, property etc. for cheap and start the american golden age 2.0. never expected trump to win and create the exact opposite trend lol
