A lot of shit I listen to is often too obscure to find torrents of on even private trackers like jpopsuki (and when I do, I have to seed for a million years to make enough in Bonus to offset my ratio, because nobody else wants them) or Red. After I saw that there weren't even any listings for even the few 70s city pop Japanese artists I listen to, or they were just low quality mp3 rips, even on jpopsuki- I lost all faith in Private Trackers and stopped seeking more invites.

320kbps mp3 or flacs for cheap downloads from Bandcamp from kind hearted artists (that I do genuinely like) or 320kbps mp3 rips from free itunes scrapers or yt music/spotify scrapes in the worst case are good enough for me.

you can scrape mp3s off bandcamp really easily by just going into the network tab before you play a song and copying the url of the mp3. its not great quality but it werks

It's 128kbps, the same as yt music, and ytm is more convenient with yt-dlp. So, I just check if some album in on Bandcamp for cheap and if not then I plug the album link from ytm into yt-dlp.

There's plenty alternatives to every google service besides YT(which I don't use besides for pirating music, which is still useful but not irreplaceable).

I just wish there were some good free service/programs for speech to text with fine control that wasn't online or Google/MS or some other proprietary paid software for days that I'm feeling too lazy to type for my book.
