I love ComfyUI!

ComfyUI is fine but something is causing massive lag in my SDXL workflow and im too lazy to profile and figure out what is. it's probably a custom node, but all the custom nodes I use in my workflow I need. like after 20 gens it becomes basically unresponsive and i have to refresh the page.

meanwhile in my WAN workflow, I can queue up 20x gens just fine. hmm. the fact it's responsive again after a page refresh tells me it must be something related to the live previews, but I need those.

I wish there was a way to selectively enable/disable previews

I use ComfyUI for everything, and literally the only custom nodes I use are a multi lora loader, and some image grid nodes. The multi lora is pure QoL, and the image grid nodes are only needed if you are setting up complex workflows to compare a bunch of shit. You can do basically everything with zero custom nodes. The program ships with reasonable default workflows for all the core functionality.

Comfy is becoming a chore. The constant node wrangling and broken third party packs are killing the fun.
Forge is the way. Has the new speed tech, performance is on par. Dev is based and updates frequently. Finally, a UI that doesn't make you fight it to generate.

As great as this all is I’m reminded sometimes that it’s all vibe coded bullshit and get pissed right the fuck off. I was doing some testing with regional promoter and controlnet together to better shape an image, different combinations of settings and seeds as you do, and all of a sudden, after so many generations it just started fucking error. Ing about can’t apply control net to this torch, tensor something or other fucking for no reason, I didn’t change any system settings, using similar prompts and changing between columns and rows, didn’t change the controlnet at all. I’ve thought maybe it’s memories leaking or something right restart the script, didn’t fix it. Restart the browser didn’t fix it. Restart the whole fucking computer. Still getting the same stupid torch error when trying to generate with control net and Latent regional prompter. The fucking thing legitimately went and nuke itself while I was using it and I have no clue why. I hate this shit so much lol
