If management knew how to do the work they would be doing the work not managing it. Since they lack insight they don't know how to manage the tasks properly. What they do may as well be arbitrary. They're always detrimental to the company.

because centralized systems encourage cultures that see growth and large numbers as metrics of success, instead of sustainability and robustness.
veteran high performing employees are less likely to jump on retarded bandwagons, and are more like to push back on them, which leads to "missing out" on some boom to the moon.
when executives see that AI has made the market cap gap between nvidia and amd larger than the entire GDP of Iberia, they don't think "that's fucking retarded" they think "why aren't I profiting off of this?"
you can also consider the whole h1b slavery system as a supporting actor in making those high skill employees seem easily replaceable.
the only people who can challenge management on this trend are the board, and they have their head up their ass and are often made up of the same executive folk. even if they didn't, they have been given the directive by the US government that they must act in the interest of shareholder, it is literally illegal for them to practice common sense because our legal institutions have made it unlawful for public companies to not make the line go up.
the enshittification will continue until total systemic collapse, because nobody in power gives a shit or can even hear the proles screaming.
