I just got the Framework 16 yesterday and I regret buying it.
I actually really like the design of it, but the touchpad module should have been one whole piece.
And the biggest issue for me is the battery life is poor even with the dgpu.
If it had a U processor, it would have been good for me.
H / HS processors are so shit.

That's why I'm just saving up for the 13" model. Any APU on par with the Steam Deck's is good enough for me honestly, I don't really need more than that. I'll probably just get the 60htz screen too to save even more battery life while I'm at it. Not like I'll be using it to play modern triple gAAAy slop.

Apparently they're built to old IBM Thinkpad levels of retard proof so if your a clumsy fuckup like me that's not a bad investment really.

my old one is over 10 years old at this point and especially with innovation slowing I hope to get a lot of mileage out of it.

If you can afford it do it. I'm waiting for them to get down to reasonable prices first and it won't happen until they get better economy of scale.
