You might be too emotionally attached to these jobs you were never even hired for. The boomer era where your entire personality is the company you work for is gone. The idea that you should be upset because you didn't get the position only exists in movies from decades ago. This is not like dating, these companies are not emotionally available, they just want to exploit you for profit.
I have been "ghosted" many times in a row, likely more than 100. I just don't care because I'm not emotionally attached. Perhaps I have low emotional intelligence but I really don't care. One of them is going to give me money eventually.
