K2 has always had good prose, the best among the chinese models and better than sonnet/opus but it's not creative, it doesn't drive the plot forward, and it's very trigger happy with censorship. It interprets any girl with small boobs as a child for example. From my limited tests the new one is less trigger happy and doesn't support prefill at all. Yes you need a preset.

Using the Openrouter option on Silly Tavern, I searched term "Free" for their models, but some work and some don't. I've been using the Meta 3.3 70b since it works well enough. i think it has to do with me not updating my ST, but gemini is messed up on my end for some reason. I can only use one JB with it - a random modified version of pixi (which works pretty well). Every other preset will result in blank responses no matter what, even on a blank assistant card. I have no idea why. I've tried isolating the cause but to no avail.
For example at first I thought it was the prefill that got it to work so I transferred it over to another preset, but no, I still got blanks. However I can change the prefill on my usable preset and it still works.
2.0 flash on OR works fine with any preset though and I assume it would be the same for 2.5 pro?

So I have question about "API keys sourced through ethically questionable means", can't elaborate more than that but you know what I mean.
I have an openrouter account that I have spent 10 bucks on to get better free model access. I am using it via open-webui.
Suppose I am using a naughty API key. I understand that they can suspend the key if found out, no biggie. And I understand that serious international legal action against me by whichever Indian this key original belonged to is very unlikely, even if I spend hundreds of bucks on his credit card. Would cost him more to prosecute me than whatever he lost and could potentially regain.
But can I say:
Get IP banned from provider servers (I don't think they can do fancy fingerprinting through just API access, so this should be circumventable by restarting the router?)?
Get my openrouter account banned from their servers?
Get suspended from openrouter itself and get my 10 bucks stolen?
And next if possible, are any of these "serious consideration" likely?

It writes pretty well, understands pacing better than other models, doesn't try to dump everything in context into reply, it can be clever in its direction... But makes really dumb or incoherent mistakes the way an 8B would. I don't really give a fuck about trivia knowledge, but it does say something about model size and this one doesn't know some of the more obscure stuff the bigger models do. It doesn't feel at all like Gemini or Grok. If it has to be one of the two, I'd guess some kind of Grok Gaiden specifically for their RP offerings. It surprised me with an unprompted "nigger" in a Star Trek satire RP out of the blue. I hope this doesn't end up being another fucking rugpull.

The negativity issue that I experience is gemini forcing mental breakdowns or something else stupid just to avoid advancing the plot in any meaningful way. What I meant was that I like to mix models and only use it for 4-5 responses at a time. Gemini has excellent recall so 60k context worth of another model's responses might be affecting the output. However when people complained about R1's negativity or schizo nature that's instantly detectable in a single swipe whereas on gemini it isn't. Even with sonnet to opus a single swipe is enough notice such an extreme negative/neutral bias but I haven't seen that with gemini at all. What I was saw gemini portraying scenes realistically or even being positive and refusing to kill me when I deserved it due to 60k context worth of romance with char.
