ROUTERS General
What do you guys recommend?
I want over 500mbs wifi, privacy, ability to easily fake location to sites, apps, blocking ads without letting sites know you use an adblocker, possibility to change ip. I do have nordvpn for now but I turn it on rarely. My isp uses pppoe.

Maybe these are some good candidates:
GL.iNet GL-MT6000
ASUS TUF Gaming AX6000
Xiaomi Mi Router AX3000T

Currently using Dlink DIR-842 Rev C1.
On stock I get 466mbs on wifi.
Installed Openwrt but managed to get only 300mbs after hours of tinkering and consulting claude and chatgpt

Openwrt is slower, especially if you use sqm to reduce bufferbloat. There's a page on their wiki where they basically say you need an x86 machine if you want that kind of performance. Other than that openwrt is basically a linux box so you can make it do anything you want if you tinker hard enough.

I'd love to use OpenWRT / DD-WRT or PFsense, but i'd need a router with a built in Modem, because of VDSL+ so it's a Fritz!Box for me

What if I put an usa sim card inside router will that make me look like I'm from US? Does that have any effect? Will still use vpn, I've also changed locales/time/language on my Lunix system
