Is Libreboot safe to use? When I read the lead dev's name was Leah, I instantly knew that it was a woman (male). I don't want binary blobs on my machine (coreboot), but I don't know if this new breed of devs are to be trusted. I have NOTHING against mentally ill people or trans individuals, I just don't know if I can trust them with my computer.

Coreboot is GPL, same as Libreboot. There is nothing proprietary in either project codebase. Both projects do offer optional microcode updates if you would like to add those on your own (which you should). Anything after C2D Intel will need additional blobs, but neither project distributes those, you have to pull them from your own BIOS. Libreboot is a distribution of Coreboot, and it offers pre-compiled ROMs, so overall it will be easier to work with if you're a noob, which it sounds like you are.

That's the question, dipshit. I care. Trans people tend to be severely mentally ill, they are activists, they have motives. A normal autist used to care purely about the software and making it good for the sake of it in spite of everything, conventions or anything else. There was a time in US history when they would always pass over gay people as spies because that was a lever that could be used against those spies, not just because it could be used to influence them directly through revealing it, etc., but because gays were known to be bitchy gossippers with loose lips, and the organizations cared far less about feelings and perceptions and far more about objective reality.

Similarly, I don't know if I can trust something as important as my bootloader to a person whose very reality is a lie, and who is in so deep that they expect those around them to accept this lie even when it is quite clear that it is one (just a typical speccy male with medium length hair and the "Chud face," not passing).

I do not say this to be offensive at all; I support, respect, and sometimes pity trans people. But the point I'm making is that there is more at play with their personality which may influence their motives and thus their underlying behavior, and in security-sensitive environments, this matters.

I remember when my fellow spergs were crusaders for truth. We'd argue unpopular views because they were right and true. I'd have thought they would be the exact kind of people to point out that this is not a real physical phenomenon and is instead an ideology. Now those same people live in a world of delusion and try to foist it on others. I can't tell which ones do this knowingly and maliciously and which ones believe their own lies, and how much overlap there is between the two. I only know that I'm in the minority of people who are still willing to discuss this, at least in safe spaces.

I think monks could be homosexuals but I doubt very much that many of them held the notion that they were born the wrong gender. Being a monk has been a respectable endeavor, too. You could argue that the autists of old were like modern monks. But this new breed is something else entirely.

This is a common misconception. Libreboot is GPLv3, it's 100% free code. The ability to add proprietary blobs for a board to function is completely irrelevant to whether or not the code itself is free (which it is). GNU Boot, or Leah's own Canoeboot, simply take the ability away of adding any blobs (which ironically is taking away user choice) and why they only support 20 year old Core 2 boards because nothing modern can run without some proprietary firmware in the ROM

Literal truth, just examine what GNU Boot supports, it's 17 year old Intel hardware and a couple of 13 year old AMD boards.

I was wrong, I think power 10 was the one that disappointed me; power 9 did not require blobs, and is the most modern hardware I'm aware of with 0 blobs and which is fully open source.

For clarification, Coreboot/Libreboot does not control or maintain any binary blobs. They simply have optional package for microcode updates. They have no ability to reverse engineer Intel or AMD microcode, not would it even be legal for them to do so.
