Firefox is so fucking shit holy fuck
I've tried to move to Firefox from Chrome, but Firefox is just so fucking clunky it's unbelievable.
It has so many annoying quirks that make it a pain to use.
Chrome just fucking works.

Worst thing is that Firefox won't get better, Mozilla keeps adding normie shit that nobody needs instead of making the actual browser great.

It doesn't matter how many times you type Skill Issue, Firefox is aids.
Firefox 2.5 was the last good Firefox, 3 onwards ruined it more and more as time went on, adding useless shitty features every other few updates that nobody fucking asked for, ruining the UI constantly, killing off XUL support, that disastrous tab bar they did a while back.
Do I still use it?
Yes, on PC and Android, but it is a secondary browser now.
More so in the case of Android I value it immensely for userscript support.
But if that never existed, I'd simply change the code to use node / python to fetch shit for me instead as that's all I use it for - fetching beyond the bounds of localhost.

if you were gonna do this bit you could do chromium, ungoogled chromium, fuck even edge. Youre clearly to dumb to use a hipster fork of FF so i will at least tell you to open the settings, click the search bar, type "sponsor" and untick everything, then type "suggest" and untick everything, and type "telemetry" and untick everything. Firefox's main issue is the small dev team compared to Chromium that is contributed by both Google and Microsoft, and has tons of smaller projects forking from it too like Yandex, Vivaldi, Opera, Brave, DuckDuckGo, etc. Chromium is also like 82.5% of all internet users, Safari is around 15%, and Firefox and it's forks are around 2.5%. Sites just don't care to optimize or make sure Firefox is compatible with them, so all the pressure is put on Mozilla devs to fix the issues. It's honestly over, I think accepting Chromium as the only base for browsers is just reality, but you can fork Chromium into different sides while keeping the same engine base.

Anonymous No.106530033 >>106530065

I've encountered that, this is a misunderstanding on their part of what CORS actually is. It's not a Firefox issue. It's the server telling you to fuck off.

You can think of CORS like a firewall for web servers. The server sets rules and the client (Firefox) enforces them. Chrome and other browsers do the same thing too but where things get interesting is when sites respond differently to Firefox than they do with Chrome.

The browser will make an OPTIONS request to see what it's allowed to do and validate the headers it returns and sometimes the server will see you're using Firefox on Linux and shit itself or have aggressive rules that conflict with extensions like 4chanx so the browser will block something it probably shouldn't have.

Firefox tards will pretend firefox is fine despite it constantly losing in every benchmark, there being major sites like parts of google or snapchat or government sites that straight up don't work or allow firefox, the fact that it still has no proper sandboxing and is terrible for security, the fact that it literally can't display animations, gradients in images, or render text properly on sites. The fact that it can't play a long youtube video or playlist without at some point audio going quiet or freezing, the fact that it has a billion memory leak issues, the fact that it is more bloated and takes more ram than even chrome now, the fact that it ships with broken features constantly like the new AI feature that somehow without being used just takes up a extra gb of ram until it was patched a few weeks later, the fact it can't display UI animations at higher than 60fps. Firefox is literal jeetware. Kill yourselves. You are all fucking blind and retaded if you can use it without issues.

Not fault of Firefox, but web devs.
Chromium is made for zoom zoom toddler devs who barely understand what a header is, so it silently ignores a huge amount of security and web standard violations, Firefox does not and actually enforces them, so if devs fuck up CORS setup, you get errors, you also get cookie warnings, because again, webshitters can't bother to actually test their website beyond "do pretty colors show up?"
